Assistant Property Manager

The Housing Authority of the City of Prichard (HACP) is currently accepting applications for an Assistant Property Manager.

REQUIRED SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND ABILITIES: Knowledge of interviewing techniques as applied to obtaining personal information; Knowledge of laws, rules and regulations governing eligibility the assigned program, including the purposes, policies and regulations of the Housing Authority as established by the Board of Commissioners; Knowledge of report preparation, techniques and procedures and demonstrated ability to prepare and evaluate professional and technical report, grant application and other required documents; Knowledge of housing activities and operations at the federal, state and local levels in both public and private sector; Ability to achieve rapport and establish effective relationships with residents, their relatives and various organizations in the community; Ability to perform housing inspections according to appropriate standards; Ability to follow and apply established procedures effectively in carrying out work assignments, to use standard office equipment, personal computers, calculators, copy, fax machines, etc.; Must have good organizational skills and able to work under stringent time frames.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Certification in rent calculations in Public and/or Section 8 housing eligibility required or must be obtained from a HUD approved agency/organization within one year of employment. Must possess a valid Alabama driver's license and be insurable on HACP vehicle insurance policy. Must possess a personal automobile for use in performing job duties when necessary.

ANNUAL SALARY: $33,145.20
